The Perfect Wings program, with support from EMBRACE, the School Office, and in collaboration with our public school partners, supports schools in creating inclusive educational settings that meets all learners’ needs – both students with special needs and those without.
Perfect Wings offers schools the following: on-site consultations; support for Student Improvement Teams (SIT) and Student Support Plans (SIP); professional development and training opportunities; and support as a liaison between Catholic schools and their public school counterparts to ensure students’ needs and rights are met.
Students that are developing English speakers, referred to as English as a Second Language (ESL) or English Language Learners (ELL) are welcome in ArchKCK schools. Together, with the support of teachers, specialized staff, and parents, schools can provide students with an inclusive education where they develop their English proficiency, growing as learners and children of God.
Understanding that we are all created for a specific purpose, and that we are called to use our God-given talents, vocation discernment is not just for high school students trying to figure out what they will do after graduation. Through prayer, reflection, career exploration, and guest speakers, students learn early on about the opportunities that exist and how that correlates with their gifts and talents.
Mindfulness, conscious discipline, coping strategies, and conflict resolution are just some of the things school counselors teach students to support their health and well-being.
ArchKCK counselors provide support to individuals and schools in alignment with Catholic values and social teachings. Our school counselors can help parents identify Catholic resources and make recommendations, such as for grief counselors.
