Spitzer has written several books including many on faith and reason.  His research has shown that the faith belief of students begins to wane drastically in middle school and beyond due to the perceived conflict between faith and reason.  He points out that, as people see how faith and reason are vey much intertwined, people begin to see how the natural world around them actually points to a creator and personal faith belief increase.  He will talk about the Assessment of Religious Knowledge (ARK).  The ARK assess belief in addition to faith knowledge.  If a significant drop in belief is seen among the students, curriculum resources are available through the Magis Center.
