Contact UsProfessionals wishing to transition into a teaching career may complete a Transition to Teach program to obtain teacher licensure. These programs are offered at universities across the country, including Benedictine College, Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, MidAmerica Nazarene University, Pittsburg University, and Wichita State University.
Teaching License Alternative PathwaysTeacher Candidates required to observe as a part of a teacher preparation program should contact the specific school of interest. It is at the school leader's discretion to approve observation opportunities.

Step 1: Students need to share their interest with their university student teacher supervisor.
Step 2: The student teacher supervisor should contact Allison Carney, Associate Superintendent. The Archdiocese has Memorandums of Understanding with several colleges. If a partnership does not yet exist, then conditions will be discussed.
Step 3: The student teacher will receive a letter from the Archdiocese, inviting them to complete the online registration form.
Step 4: The teacher candidate will complete a background check.
Step 5: The teacher candidate will complete Virtus training and email your certificate to the School Office at alanham@archkckcs.org.
