Our Team

The Office of Catholic Schools shall assist pastors, school leaders, and teachers in fulfilling the teaching mission of the elementary and secondary schools in the Archdiocese. This is accomplished through assistance, coordination, and guidance in the areas of accreditation, assessment, Catholicity, curriculum and instruction, ESL, faith leadership, finances/budgeting, legal consulting, professional development, risk management, school capacity, strategic planning, students with special needs, personnel recruitment, marketing, and enrollment management. #2000, Handbook of Policies and Procedures for Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas

Vince Cascone, Ed. D.

Dr. Cascone has served in Catholic schools in Chicago and Kansas City for over 25 years, both as a teacher and administrator. As Superintendent of Catholic schools, he works closely with school leaders, pastors, and boards to support schools’ success.

Lorenzo Rizzi, Ed. D.

In his 30+ years working in education, Dr. Rizzi has been an advocate for special education as a high school teacher, principal, and associate superintendent. In his current role, Dr. Rizzi oversees student services in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.

Kirsten Wondra, M.S.

Mrs. Wondra’s career began as a classroom teacher before transitioning into the role of educational consultant at the South Central Education Service Center (now Orion), providing professional learning support to 26 area school districts. She has further experience as a building principal in both Catholic and public schools. In her present role, Mrs. Wondra is responsible for teacher recruitment, accreditation, and professional development.

Felicia started her career in the Archdiocese as an English teacher before transitioning into advancement. In her present role, Felicia works with schools to support enrollment management and marketing efforts, as well as the Office of Catholic Schools team on teacher recruitment.

Jane has worked in education, clinical settings, and nonprofit organizations. Jane has served on boards, councils and business teams that support Catholic education. Additionally she has led multiple initiatives that impact children and youth in parish life.  Jane leads the School Advancement Program, working with schools to implement a multi-year plan to support board development, development/fundraising, enrollment, and operational vitality.

Amy has been with the School Office since 2006.  She is the product of Catholic education in the Archdiocese, having graduated from Christ the King Grade School (KCK) and Bishop Ward High School (KCK). Amy’s current role is to provide comprehensive office management, research and data reports for the School Office, as well as administrative support for the Superintendent of Schools.  Her duties include managing the office functions, including budget and accounting, application processing and files, research, analysis, and reporting, preparing correspondence, and coordinating events and meetings.

Dominica attended St. Matthew Catholic School (Topeka) and Hayden High School (Topeka). She studied Marketing and Graphic Design at K-State, graduating with a BBA in Business Administration.
